EFAPCO EUROBS
2013. május 27.

The European Observatory – EUROBS – has been devised to develop EFAPCO’s research, knowledge and expertise in three key professional areas, the EUROBS PILLARS:

EFAPCO EUROPEAN OBSERVATORY

1. Economy

2. National Organisations

3. Education

The EUROBS structure offers a full range of opportunities for EFAPCO to:
•     Become a driving force in the development of the European, and global, meetings industry
•    To help all national associations to deliver added-value information, guidance, business opportunities and knowledge to their memberships
•    To generate true lobbying influence within the respective EU commissions
•    To further develop professional standards across all aspects of the PCO sector in Europe
•    To help members to gain maximum financial benefit from EFAPCO involvement

The EUROBS needs to develop a complete picture across ALL member countries. To achieve this each member association should now:
•    Appoint a dedicated EUROBS liaison officer (names and contact details to be supplied to Sam van de Kerckhof), and if possible up to one for each pillar, to keep the Observatory up to date with news, information and research findings. Their role will also be to make sure all members are circulated twice a year with information back from across all member countries.
•    Circulate all of the Observatory’s general findings and reports to their national members.
Background papers on the EUROBS’ think-tank and reports from each of the Prague workshop sessions have also been published on EFAPCO’s website (www.efapco.eu).

All liaison officers should also circulate these to all national members, inviting comments and information.
Furthermore, in a view of harmonised collaboration, it is recommended that each national association should structure its agenda following the three pillars.

This is a great opportunity to strengthen the EFAPCO network, to enhance communication between member associations and to encourage the active involvement of every individual company and organisation across all member countries.
It will also help the Federation to encourage PCOs in non-member countries to form their own association and join us.
Get involved! Today . . . for the future of the meetings industry and for your own business!
